LAVA Advisory Partners has created a unique solution to solve the funding needs of new residential health care business, Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic, allowing them to acquire and develop their first site ahead of their summer 2023 opening.
Learn 2 Live is a residential clinic helping teenagers overcome challenges with mental ill health and related high-risk behaviors, including addiction. The Clinic will provide a ten-week residential course for those most in need; creating a safe environment where young people can build their strength, confidence and resilience from within, with the center aiming to ensure that no family struggles to get help with their child’s mental health.
‘We were particularly delighted to be able to support the Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic, not only as it built on the strength of our existing client relationships, but also as it fits so closely with our own objectives of supporting charities and other organisations that focus on mental health and resilience in children and young people.’

Founding CEO, Luchie Cawood, identified a stark shortage of beds in the UK for this type of residential care which led to her establishing the business. Luchie was previously CEO of Eaton House Schools Group, which she grew with the support of Sovereign Capital, prior to its sale to Dukes Education which was led by LAVA in 2021.
‘It was a joy to be working with the team at LAVA once again. True to form, they have found a solution for me which sits firmly outside of the mainstream funding market whilst being a perfect fit for the ambitions of my family and the Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic.’

As traditional finance houses would struggle with providing funding so early in Learn 2 Live’s life cycle, LAVA took a creative approach to the challenge and leveraged its wide-reaching relationships in an ever-growing funding landscape to hunt down a unique solution.
LAVA’s approach included reviewing a number of alternative options and led them to create a solution which involved working with a past client from the education sector, Mark Beaumont, who after selling his school group, Claremont to International School Partnership, now leads the Beaumont Family Office.
Whilst Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic is a new venture, the deal was unlocked through leveraging long-term and trusting relationships with two previous clients who LAVA has grown to understand over time. This demonstrates the benefits of the longer-term relationships LAVA Advisory Partners likes to build with its clients. We look forward to continuing to provide advice and support through the acquisition and development of future sites for Learn 2 Live.
‘Facilitating the collaboration between two past clients to unlock such a purposeful deal has been a very rewarding experience for the team at LAVA. We are proud to have played our small part in helping Luchie launch her new venture and look forward to supporting her on her journey going forward.’
