LAVA Advisory Partners teams up with Place2Be to support children and young people’s mental health

LAVA Advisory Partners is proud to announce a new partnership with Place2Be, a leading school-based mental health charity for children and young people. The collaboration reflects the team’s ongoing commitment to supporting organisations that empower children and young people in building emotional resilience and preparedness for adulthood. Place2Be joins LAVA’s growing charity network alongside the likes of Happy Space UK, UNICEF, WellChild, and the NSPCC.

Statistics show that 1 in 5 children experience a probable mental health problem, and 50% of those first experience a symptom before the age of 14.

Place2Be’s services support children at an early stage, before their problems escalate, through a critical early intervention approach. The charity’s embedded mental health services are available in 520 schools in England, Scotland and Wales, reaching nearly 300,000 children and young people annually.

This new partnership will see LAVA supporting Place2Be’s core in-school services, which include one-to-one counselling, a self-referral service called Place2Talk, group interventions, and support sessions for parents and teachers, directly impacting up to 2,000 students a year in London schools. Alongside funding, LAVA plans to provide strategic Pro Bono services to assist Place2Be in reaching their organisational objectives.

We are so pleased to be working with LAVA. Their involvement goes beyond financial contributions to actively participating in the lives of the children and communities we work with. Together, we are set to make a real difference.
